WST: Share Repurchase Part 1

Wall St. Training Self-Study Instructor, Hamilton Lin, CFA discusses and compares and contrasts the drivers of value of capital structure changes from a financial point of view. First we run through a comparison to share repurchases and the lack of value creation and then provide counter-arguments of cost of capital, funding costs and opportunity costs arbitrage, then we counter-counter argue based on weighted average cost of capital changes. We first introduce the obvious rationales, then prove why that is wrong, then disproof the proof and disprove that and disprove that and finally agree on how corporate finance and the capital markets extract value from capital structure arbitrage. In short, you might be thoroughly confused at first, but will finally understand every aspect of the value proposition by the time we are done! “SPLASH CRASH” Global Economy Alarm Bells Ring Wall Street Falls 4% Recession Fears Hammer Stocks

www.StockMarketFunding.com “SPLASH CRASH” Global Economy Alarm Bells Ring Wall Street Falls 4% Recession Fears Hammer Stocks & Commodities. Wall Street Falls Sharply for 4th Day! Gold, silver tumble in broad market sell-off. Most commodities remained under pressure today, pressured by the strength in the dollar and concerns about the status of global economies World stocks and commodities tumbled on Thursday as weak data from China crystallized investor fears of a global recession one day after a grim economic outlook from the US Federal Reserve. Stocks tumbled more than 4 percent and commodities took a beating. The US dollar climbed to a seven-month high against major currencies (^DXY – News) as investors fled risky assets. Weak data from Germany and China helped push investors to the safety of US government bonds, where benchmark yields again touched lows not seen in 60 years. Data showing contraction in China’s manufacturing sector for a third straight month helped drive down oil prices by more than 4 percent in London and sent the price of copper to a one-year low. Gold, a traditional safe haven, slumped more than 3 percent as the dollar strengthened. Thursday’s market meltdown came after weeks of worries that Europe’s debt crisis could freeze the global financial system, and a day after the Federal Reserve disappointed markets with its latest effort to boost the economy by lowering long-term borrowing costs. The Fed also spooked investors with a particularly stark

Revelation 18 – The Financial Ruin of Economic Babylon, Dollar & Euro Market Collapses in Chaos

Fellow Christians, this day is coming. The end of the world domination of international finance is within sight. As the European Union EURO is on the brink of collapse, the US dollar is on the brink of being taken away as the world’s reserve currency. Currently, all international trade is now conducted in US dollars. For example, if I have a business in Brazil and I want to buy widgets manufactured in France, the financial transaction is conducted in US dollars. The dollar is used for all international monetary/product exchanges. All oil purchases and trade between nations are conducted in US dollars (ie Spain buys oil from Saudi Arabia). Thus, the Federal Reserve can print dollars at will. But this is coming to an end soon. We must be prepared. Believe me, they are prepared. This is why we see gold steadily rising for the last several years. If and when this happens, we will experience hyperinflation that will make 2008 look like a walk in the park. When this collapse does take place, the paper dollars will be absolutely worthless. It can start with a simple statement from China, or a comment by the Federal Reserve. If Bernanke says an off the cuff statement that the dollar is worthless because it is backed by absolutely nothing, the world will go into complete CHAOS! It won’t matter how much is in our accounts: $1000 to $100million. Only those things that have intrinsic value will be accepted for trade, food, gas, etc. That is why I suggest to people that they spend a
